For a food-focused visit to Shkodër, choose between a meal in the centre and a separate outing toward Lake Shkodër. The right choice depends on your sightseeing route and transport, particularly if you intend to return after dark.

Planning a lakeside meal
If you go toward Shirokë, decide on transport before choosing the restaurant. Ask whether fish is priced by weight or by portion, whether the quoted weight is before preparation, and whether sides are included. This makes menu comparisons more useful than a general “cheap” or “expensive” label.
